Softball Camp Staff
Shawna Feldt
Shawna Feldt is in her first season as the Pioneers Head Softball Coach, joining the L&C staff in July 2009. Feldt comes to the Pioneers after serving as an assistant coach at Oregon State for the last four seasons.
Prior to joining the Oregon State staff, Feldt coached the Fort Vancouver High School softball team, taking the struggling program to the district playoffs her first season. Feldt was later named District Coach of the Year.
Feldt also played professional softball in the Netherlands, while also serving as a coach. During her time in the Netherlands, she helped lead the team to the European Cup Championship in Forli, Italy in 2003. While playing with the Dutch club, she also served as the head coach of the 19-under junior team, which won the Holland Cup.
Feldt, an Oregon State graduate, is a former All-Pacific-10 Conference player and three-time All-Pac-10 selection. As a player, Feldt spent one season at Mississippi State University before competing from 1999-01 at Oregon State. One of Oregon State's all-time great players, Feldt dominates Oregon State's career record books with her name dotting eight different batting categories, including a No. 3 ranking in singles and No. 2 in triples and a No. 5 ranking in hits and runs scored. As a shortstop, she led the Beavers to three NCAA Regional Tournament appearances and was a two-time NCAA Regional Tournament selection. Feldt also ranks in 15 Oregon State single-season record book categories.
She helped the Beavers reach the 2006 NCAA Softball World Series, while guiding the 2007 team to the NCAA Regional Tournament.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oregon State in 2001.
